British Bike Manufacturers
An overview of the British morotcycle industry and its collapse.
By the early years of the 20th century, almost everything in motorcycling has been invented, tested and used: from single to multiple cylinder machines in every possible layout; chain, shaft and belt drive; liquid cooling; front- and rear-wheel drive; telescopic and girder forks; kickstarts, electric starters, twist throttle, multiple gears, and more.

Classic Bikes
A private site with an interest in classic motorcycles - I have developed this site to share this enjoyment and information, which is supplied in good faith and is accurate as far as is possible. If you need parts or other services check the suppliers page.

History of George Barber
H.R.D. machinist and Brooklands racer
This web site is the culmination of research by Mr. John Barber into late fathers (Mr George Barber) involvement in racing and his work at H.R.D. Stevenage. Starting with the discovery of a clubman's meeting card that stated that Mr G.F.Barber had completed the flying kilometre at Brooklands in the 1930's.

Tamworth & District Classic Motorycyle Club
Back in 1983, three friends Mick Hirons, Pete Middlemas and Mike Estall, who were each dedicated British bike fans decided there must be others who had similar interests to themselves and that a club for such people who could share their mutual interest would be warranted. With this in mind they advertised their idea locally and invited anyone interested to attend an initial meeting to be held at The Green Man, Clifton Campville Staffordshire. To their surprise over 100 people attended, and after hearing the outline proposals of the club the vast majority expressed a desire to join such a club when it was formed. The rest as they say is history and you can read all about it and find out more about the club at their website: www.tanddcmcc.co.uk
