Okay, I accept this month’s CBG is very much a Triumph issue. But we’re not about to apologise for the fact that we’ve got no fewer than seven of Meriden’s finest for you this month

There’s Bernard Kuropka’s story of how he managed to find and then restore a Thruxton Bonnie he owned as a teenager. We’ve got Malcolm Ralls’ stunning collection of restored twins – plus his neat export-spec Trident. And then there’s the pre-unit that The Baron’s Speed Shop has built for Peter Allan for a record attempt on the Bonneville Salt Flats – plus a replica of the famous 1950s American drag bike ‘Pretty Boy’.

But don’t worry, it’s not all Triumph. Check out Garry Laurence’s incredibly beautiful Norton Laverda cafe racer. It’s a real one-off in every sense of the word, and the attention to detail is spellbinding.

We’ve got a really lovely tale about a Guzzi Falcone single, a trip around the Targa Florio course on an old AJS single, brand new retro-styled cafe racers from BMW and Norton – and a feature on Lewis Leathers, surely the most iconic brand in classic motorcycle clothing.

I don’t really need to say any more except, open it up – and enjoy.
