Ethanol – On the increase
26 April 2012
It has been a crazy time since the petrol shortage scare and politicians have been out of touch with reality and common sense as usual. Just how dangerous is modern petrol, the chemical composition of which changed in 2009?
No more CBG
26 April 2012.
Just a quick note about the ever-lasting subject of Jap machines in British classic bike magazines. In my opinion this is a lost fight for us who are absolutely not interested in this type of machine.
Don’t forget the rockers
29 March 2012.
With all the recent British versus Jap controversy since the new format of CBG was introduced (what was wrong with the old CBG?) Here’s my two penn’orth for what it’s worth.
Yorkshire comment

I like the format of the magazine and I particularly enjoyed Steven Myatt’s story about Ann-Margret in the December issue. I didn’t know that she and Elvis were an item.
Raven report
23 February 2012.
Good show my brother. Excellent! Thank you so much for the Raven article (December 2011). I think it looks super, y’all really get it. I have put more than 1700 miles on it. It has been trouble free and I’m still making adjustments.
Jawa first with the slickshift
23 February 2012.
Another cracking magazine. Keep it up. However, I have a Triumph Slickshift gearbox quibble. It was developed by Triumph engineers?
A perfect combination
26 January 2012.
With reference to our previous note (November), I thought I’d send you the story on the BSA combo we bought instead of the feature bike.
Mystery pipe
26 January 2012.
Re the Hailwood shot (December). The breather hanging down on the left seems odd.
Improvements...
24 November 2011.
I write to say what an enjoyable and much improved magazine Classic Bike Guide has become recently. The Commando article was very good indeed.
When wrong is right...
24 November 2011.
In reply to Martin Wilkie’s observation in the October issue that the bike was on the wrong side of the police phone box in the ‘Out of the Shed’ cartoon, the composition would have put the emphasis on the wrong part of the subject and the cartoon would not have worked if it had been drawn ‘the right way round’.
