Cloisonne enamelled Ariel tank badges
By: Web Editor
With the Korean War induced nickel shortage in the early 1950s, Ariel announced that from February 1951, petrol tanks would no longer be chromed but introduced an art deco motif behind the tank badge.
Draganfly has recently added this to its range, manufactured and plated to the usual high standards. The badge is also available (both UK made) in the UK.
These badges are made using the cloisonné enamel process where coloured vitreous enamel is melted on to the background. They are not cheap painted stampings made in India and are exclusive to Draganfly. Motif number 5004-51 £22 each plus VAT and p&p; enamel badges (shown as a serving suggestion, not included with motif) – black and white 5004-34; Red and white 5004-35 £16.88 each plus VAT and p&p.
