Exhibition manager Nick Mowbray said: “John is one of the biggest names in motorcycling and we can’t wait to welcome him to one of the biggest classic events on the biking calendar. A veteran of 18 Isle of Man TTs, he will offer an unrivalled insight into the world’s most famous motorcycle races as well as many of the many competitors, both rivals and friends, who he’s lined up against. He will surely have a wealth of stories from a stellar career.

“Showgoers will also look forward to hearing McGuinness’s thoughts on this year’s TT competition, on which the dust will have settled by the time October comes around. Will he have added to his 21 race wins? Will he have set any more records? How many more years can he compete at the top level? Compere Steve Plater will be tasked with getting all the answers.”

Following on from a hugely successful Stafford April event, the October weekend will continue the momentum with plans in place to repeat the success of the new Restoration Theatre along with continuing the popular Cavalcade sessions.
