What really happened?
By: Web Editor
The series of articles by Peter Williams in CBG has been most interesting, and I look forward to having sight of his proposed book.
It was surprising though, to read the remarkably brief account of his major accident in August 1974, where it is speculated as to whether the seat came off before or as a result of the crash, including the cliche, ‘Only Peter knows for sure’. In that case, I wish he'd tell us, particularly as I'm pretty sure I've seen film clearly showing the seat coming off while Peter was still very much on the bike.
One wonders, maybe he's been contracted to say nothing as a condition of a payout or something. In any case, I hope we can expect a little more detail and candour if we are to buy the book?
