Classic bikes get stamp of approval

ISLE OF MAN Post Office is to release a set of 12 stamps celebrating ground-breaking innovation in Great British Motorcycles to coincide with the TT. Each of the 12 First Class stamps features a painting of a classic engine as created by Graham Crowley, a renowned artist and motorcycle enthusiast.

The bikes featured are: Zenith, Excelsior Manxman, Douglas Flat Twin, AJS 500 V4, Vincent V Twin Series C and Manx Norton Single. The riders in action are: Eric Longden, Dennis Parkinson, Freddie Dixon, Walter Rusk, Alex Phillip and Harold Daniell. This stamp issue has been designed by David Bloomfield and EJC Design

The Great British Motorcycles issue will be released on May 17, less than two weeks before the annual TT Festival.
