Friends get to ride Broughs and Beezas

THE NATIONAL MOTORCYCLE MUSEUM has announced the first details of its 2018 programme of Friends Scheme activities.

Members of the scheme can take part in Classic Bike Tours, Ride a Classic Days and Workshop Training Days. The first of these dates for 2018 is a Museum Workshop Training Day on Saturday, February 24 which will be held in the museum’s Compton suite. This event will feature two sessions presented by Rick Parkington. The museum’s own restoration team will also be on hand to discuss some tricks of the trade. Museum Workshop Days are free of charge to friends of the museum.

The first Classic Bike Tour will be held on Saturday, March 24, and CBG plans to be there. Friends have the opportunity to ride some of the most exciting and valuable classic motorcycles from the museum. You will receive an induction and off-road training before being escorted by advanced instructors around the Warwickshire countryside. Machinery on offer varies from a BSA B31 to a Brough Superior SS100. Each class of machine attracts a different hire fee which includes insurance costs and lunch in the museum restaurant.
