The root of all evil
I was enjoying my evening meal recently, with the TV on, and it came to the BBC’s One Show – for our non-UK readers, that’s a 30 minute, fairly light, topical news show – and like most things BBC, is painfully politically correct and incredibly irritating. However, I do admit to delaying the change of channel until after I’ve seen what the rather sexy co-presenter is wearing.
I was about to hit the remote when there came a report about a new wave of shoplifters from the now not so well off middle classes, who seemingly cannot bear the depreciation of their lifestyle and, more importantly, their loss of status in the eyes of their so called friends. Basically it’s all about money – the root of all evil.
