National Motorcycle Museum LIVE returns and it's free!

National Motorcycle Museum LIVE is to return on October 30/31.

This special weekend will see the museum throw open the doors to all free of charge. Visitors will not just get a chance to visit the museum, but enjoy a host of special evets, displays and attractions.

The event will feature a large indoor trade area held within the warm and dry surroundings of both the museum and the conference facilities. There will be trade stands and displays from many well-known names including Central Wheel Components Ltd, Triumph Motorcycles, Sealey Tools and Norton Motorcycles. The museum shop will be open throughout the event, selling a huge range of classic motorcycling books, clothing and memorabilia.

Some of the museum’s specialist suppliers, and members of the museum’s own restoration team will be available to chat and answer questions. Central Wheel Components will be carrying out the live wheel building demos.

Among the special guests will be John McGuinness, Peter Hickman, Allen Millyard, and there will be a special Henry Cole and friends’ session. Held in the museum’s Britannia suite, TT legend and TV presenter Steve Plater will be hosting the sessions. Other motorcycling personalities from the past and present will also be in attendance.

An Ogri Originals Exhibition will include the final batch of pen and ink originals which were rediscovered in 2017 by Ogri artist Paul Sample. All the original drawings on display can be purchased at the event in a never to be repeated opportunity to own a piece of iconic biking history. Royal Enfield Motorcycles will be in attendance offering the chance to test ride their latest machines over the course of the weekend. Don’t forget your licence.

The Brackley Festival Of Motorcycling will be firing up some of the most famous race machines in the world started up in a live start-up feature which will take place on stage in the museum’s Britannia Suite. Motorcycle parking is free, while car parking for the event is just £10 per car. Given the event’s huge popularity, the museum encourages car sharing which makes this nominal parking charge even better value.

Don’t fancy joining the crowds? The Museum is now back open seven days a week, with no need to book your visit. The venue is now cashless, so take a debit or credit card to gain admission. All the team at the museum want to thank everyone who has given to both of our Covid-19 appeal raffles held in late 2020 and early 2021. As promised, following the Government’s roadmap out of restrictions, the funds raised have been used directly for the purpose of reopening the museum to visitors seven days a week.
