H-C Travel's first US tour of 2010 saw 14 riders, assorted partners and Gary and Tim, the guides, tackle the historic American route. The Chicago start was in 29ºC, before a spectacular thunderstorm brought the temperature down to a more manageable 17ºC. The tour stopped at key locations, some scenic, some nostalgic and some purely bike related, so tourists are constantly bombarded and stimulated with the beauty and history of this famous roadway.
