The genius of Millyard: Amazing bike creations on display at Stafford


THE creator of incredible motorcycles Allen Millyard will be the guest of honour at the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show at Stafford this October, showcasing a selection of his amazing hand-built specials.

Allen is renowned for creating mind-boggling bikes, having built more than 30 multi-cylinder machines ranging from four and five-pot, two-stroke Kawasakis, to a V12 based on a Z1300 and a five-litre V-twin made from an aircraft engine from the comfort of his shed.

Yorkshireman Allen has been bringing pieces of scrap back to life since he was 17, inspired by his passion for metalwork at school.

One of his first projects saw him transform a rotten Honda 90 into a V-twin using his dad’s Myford ML7 lathe.

After more than two decades he’s produced dozens of his signature Kawasaki two-stroke fours and fives, watch-like Honda V-twins built from C50 singles, V8 and V12 Kawasaki four-strokes, the eight-litre, 500bhp 200mph road-legal Dodge-powered Viper V10, the Flying Millyard five-litre V-twin and the six-cylinder RC374 ‘Hailwood Tribute’.
