THE NORTON OWNERS’ CLUB would like to find the descendants of James Lansdowne Norton himself, the Birmingham founder of one of the greatest names in British motorcycle history.
The club’s vice-chairman, Barry Owen, is leading the search.
“We’ve visited James Norton’s grave in Lodge Hill Cemetery in Birmingham and would like to arrange some restoration work,” he explains, “but we do need the consent of his family before we start.
